Some of Nicola’s best friends work in real estate – they’re good people. But the realities of the job mean they’re obligated to do the very best for their clients – the ones selling the house.
They’re not there to give solid, unbiased advice to buyers, to help people see the pros and cons of a property, or give a real idea of what it’s worth.
It’s truly a buyer beware market out there, and the people who so often get the raw deals are the ones who can least afford it – first home buyers.
Nicola’s mission – and passion – is to change all that. By fast tracking the learning process, Nicola helps her clients get focussed, get savvy and get into their first homes. It’s what gets her out of bed in the morning.
Her real estate career gave her a uniquely broad overview of the Auckland property market. She was part of a sales team specialising in mortgagee (bank-forced) sales, starting out during the global financial crisis. This meant she was involved in the sale of hundreds of properties, and helped market thousands more – far more than most real estate professionals will manage in their lifetimes. All these sales were under challenging circumstances, throughout the entire Auckland region. This, plus her degree in business, equipped Nicola with the insight she needed to offer the support and guidance first home buyers in Auckland so desperately need.
Nicola didn’t just develop our First Home Buyer’s Bootcamp – she’s also our trainer. Warm and approachable, she helps people navigate the practical – and emotional – sides of becoming a first home buyer.
